Description

  • Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems that power applications and services.
  • Maintain and operate backend services to ensure reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Build, test, and deliver high-quality, well-documented code for production systems.
  • Architect and contribute to microservice-based systems, RESTful APIs, and data ingestion pipelines.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and motivate collaboration.
  • Envision and plan future enhancements to backend architecture and system capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, driving technical decisions and team-wide impact.
  • Monitor and fine-tune system performance, using metrics and data to optimize end-to-end latency and system behavior.
  • Develop and maintain high-performance search applications and integrate search infrastructure when applicable.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of professional software development experience.
  • 4+ years of programming experience in languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, and data ingestion methods.
  • Familiarity with AWS services including EKS, S3, Redis, Lambda, and MSK.
  • Proven track record as a technical leader with team-wide impact.
  • Understanding of and adherence to industry-standard software development and architecture best practices.
  • B2 (upper-intermediate) or higher English proficiency for effective written and verbal communication.
  • Experience fine-tuning performance and using data to optimize end-to-end latency and system behavior (preferred).
  • 4+ years developing comprehensive, well-tested, high-performance search applications and in-depth hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch (preferred).
  • Authorization to live and work in Colombia (residency/right to work required).
