Description

  • Lead and expand WFP’s national phonebank program to drive direct voter contact and volunteer growth.
  • Coordinate with staff across the country to assess campaign needs and provide strategic guidance for phone and text programs.
  • Maintain a consistent schedule of 1–3 weekly phonebanks for recruitment, engagement, and voter contact.
  • Manage phone campaigns through targeting, scripting, testing, revision, execution, and evaluation.
  • Oversee WFP’s peer-to-peer texting program and manage the pipeline of approved text campaigns.
  • Coach volunteer leaders and volunteer teams to run effective phonebank and texting events.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, best practices, and training materials for phone and text organizing.
  • Plan and execute volunteer mobilizations around major electoral and issue-focused events.
  • Use data and feedback to refine outreach strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Support related organizing work as needed, including relational organizing and new member welcome efforts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in organizing.
  • Proven leadership in volunteer leadership development, volunteer management, and volunteer training.
  • Experience managing phonebank programs and peer-to-peer texting campaigns, preferably with Scale to Win and VAN/EveryAction.
  • Familiarity with relational organizing tools such as REACH, Slack, Mobilize.us, and data management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills for tracking mobilization efforts and adjusting strategies based on results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, pivot quickly, and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
  • Commitment to progressive values and building power with working-class communities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
