Description

  • Grow regional membership through in-person events, phone and text programs, digital organizing, and community events.
  • Lead in-person and virtual programs that welcome new members through relational organizing and member meeting pipelines.
  • Build and support an activist base for electoral priorities in the assigned region.
  • Set and achieve party-building and organizing goals for the region.
  • Develop analysis of the political and community landscape across the assigned region.
  • Recruit and lead canvasses, phone banks, and text banks for endorsed candidates.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and allied campaign staff using organizing tools.
  • Evaluate organizing and electoral programs and adjust methods and processes based on regional conditions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of in-person or virtual electoral, campaign, or neighborhood-based organizing experience.
  • Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to engage potential activists and supporters.
  • Critical-thinking, problem-solving, self-direction, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage project logistics, paperwork, deadlines, and technical details.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, peers, public officials, and allies.
  • Experience with grassroots nonprofits, labor, or political organizing is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Candidates must reside in Congressional District 10 or be willing to relocate; authorization to work for any U.S. employer is required, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
  • Familiarity with VAN or voter-file data, organizing platforms, phone banking tools, EveryAction, Microsoft Excel, or spreadsheet software is preferred.
