Description

  • Develop and grow client accounts while selling the full suite of Woodard & Curran services.
  • Lead consultation with clients and project staff to shape solutions that address municipal needs.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and budget quotes for business development and bid pursuits.
  • Negotiate terms of service delivery and maintain account relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team on offerings and positioning materials.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and workshops to strengthen relationships and identify market opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities early and help position senior and technical staff for pursuit success.
  • Assure client invoicing is completed and collect overdue receivables.
  • Coach and develop junior members of the account management team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience selling engineering services to the public sector in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related field from an accredited program preferred.
  • Experience leading business development, bid, and proposal efforts.
  • Strong understanding of the consulting business development cycle, including opportunity identification, positioning, proposal writing, development, and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within New England or the Mid-Atlantic US to client locations.
  • Open to remote work locations.
  • New England or Mid-Atlantic municipal sales experience preferred.
  • Strong desire to grow an organization and motivate others.

  • Competitive base salary of $170,000 to $240,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
