Description

  • Grow municipal client accounts and sell the full suite of Woodard & Curran services.
  • Develop and lead client service teams drawn from internal technical talent.
  • Provide consultation to clients and project staff to shape solutions aligned to client needs.
  • Assist with proposals, presentations, and budget quotes for new and existing work.
  • Negotiate terms of service delivery and maintain account relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team on offerings, positioning pieces, and account development materials.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, and workshops to strengthen relationships and identify market opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities early and help position internal teams for future work.
  • Support invoicing for client accounts and collect overdue receivables.
  • Coach and develop junior members of the account management team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, in execution and management in the marketplace.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a related field, from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience selling into multiple executive and plant-level functions within public sector clients.
  • Experience working with functions such as engineering, EHS, sustainability, operations, capital project management, and procurement.
  • Experience leading and participating in business development, bid, and proposal efforts.
  • Strong understanding of the consulting business development cycle, including opportunity identification, proposal writing, development, and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest U.S. and to client and company facilities up to 20%.
  • Open to remote work locations.
  • U.S. municipal sales experience is preferred.
