Description

  • Answer incoming patient phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Handle general patient inquiries and appointment-related concerns.
  • Follow up on missed appointments and support rescheduling efforts.
  • Assist with billing processes and prior authorization tasks.
  • Collect patient copays and outstanding balances.
  • Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Distribute and collect required patient forms.
  • Perform general medical receptionist and administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Previous healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with billing, prior authorizations, or insurance verification is preferred.
  • Experience using EHR/EMR systems is required.
  • Experience with Tebra is strongly preferred.
  • Mental health practice experience is a plus.
  • Previous virtual assistant experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly.
  • Must have relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop computer.
  • Must have a high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps.
  • Must have a noise-canceling headset.
  • Must have a webcam for virtual meetings.
  • Must work from a quiet, professional environment.
