Description

  • Conduct end-of-day pill calculations by reviewing PDMP records, verifying prescription fill history, and tracking patient medication balances.
  • Handle incoming nurse line calls, document patient interactions, answer basic patient inquiries, and escalate clinical concerns when appropriate.
  • Process prescription prior authorizations and coordinate with insurance companies regarding medication approvals.
  • Assist with prescription preloading in the prescribing software.
  • Support basic chart preparation by copying and updating previous patient notes.
  • Update and maintain patient records within the EHR system.
  • Assist with patient follow-ups and support daily office workflow management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinic procedures.
  • Coordinate with providers and staff to support daily clinical operations.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical support tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Healthcare, nursing, medical assistant, or other relevant clinical experience is required.
  • Nursing background or experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows is required.
  • Experience using EHR/EMR systems is required; experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially for medication tracking and pill calculations, is required.
  • Excellent documentation, record-keeping, and data entry skills are required.
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused communication skills are required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information appropriately is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly, are required.
  • Must speak and write English very clearly and have relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop computer, a high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps, a noise-canceling headset, a webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
