Description

  • Manage billing denials, claim follow-up, insurance authorizations, and payment status tracking.
  • Access insurance and MCO portals to complete authorization and billing-related tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and task tracking for authorization and billing workflows.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and intake patients while supporting front desk and receptionist duties.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls and communicate with patients professionally and compassionately.
  • Handle credentialing, insurance enrollment, and uploading information into healthcare systems and platforms.
  • Manage email inboxes, calendars, and general administrative coordination.
  • Follow SOPs, workflows, and internal processes consistently and provide daily accountability updates and end-of-day reports.
  • Support marketing tasks such as scheduling and publishing social media content and assisting with event planning.
  • For qualified candidates, assist with pre-assessment interviews, clinical documentation preparation, and behavioral health treatment planning workflows.

Requirements

  • Previous healthcare administration experience is required.
  • Behavioral health or mental health industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with medical billing, billing denials, and claims follow-up is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance authorizations and credentialing processes is required.
  • Comfort working in healthcare systems, insurance portals, and multiple software platforms is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability are required.
  • Must be highly dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to follow SOPs consistently, think critically, solve problems, and adapt to new workflows quickly.
  • Must provide NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding and be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop, high-speed internet of at least 25 Mbps, a noise-canceling headset, a webcam, and a quiet professional workspace.
  • Experience with Notenetics is preferred.
  • U.S. healthcare-related degrees in Psychology, Social Work, Medicine, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, Human Development, Physician Assistant Studies, Gerontology, Special Education, School Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or related fields may qualify for additional clinical support responsibilities.
