Description

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend tradeshows, conferences, and industry events that align with company goals.
  • Own and maintain a rolling 12-month event calendar.
  • Negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking slots, and vendor or venue contracts.
  • Plan and execute events end to end, including booth design, shipping, swag, collateral, lead capture, and logistics.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact at events, including setup, teardown, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Brief internal team members on event objectives, talking points, target accounts, and logistics.
  • Partner with sales to book pre-show meetings, run on-site customer events, and ensure lead follow-up.
  • Work with marketing on pre- and post-event campaigns such as email outreach, landing pages, paid promotion, and social content.
  • Manage event budgets, forecast spend, flag risks, and make trade-off decisions.
  • Define event KPIs and produce post-event reports on leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and learnings.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, ideally in B2B or tech.
  • Experience organizing events end to end, even at smaller scale.
  • Experience managing an events budget and making ROI-focused trade-offs.
  • Comfort defining KPIs and building reports that connect event activity to pipeline and revenue.
  • Genuine interest in AI, with examples of using AI to improve event-marketing work; this is a must.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot is sufficient on the CRM side.
  • Strong project management instincts and the ability to manage timelines, budgets, vendors, and many moving pieces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure and able to problem-solve quickly during events.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% to 50% during peak seasons across North America, with potential European travel.
  • Must be based in the US or Canada, live within roughly an hour of a major airport hub, and have the right to work in the country of residence; no visa sponsorship is available.
  • Experience with event tools like Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or Goldcast is preferred.
  • Experience working with international events or vendors is preferred.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or a similar fast-paced tech environment is preferred.
