Description

  • Research, evaluate, and prioritize tradeshows, conferences, and industry events aligned with company goals.
  • Own and maintain a rolling 12-month event calendar.
  • Negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking slots, and vendor or venue contracts.
  • Plan and execute events end to end, including booth logistics, swag, collateral, lead capture, AV, catering, hotel blocks, and travel.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for every event, including setup, teardown, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Prepare internal team members on event objectives, talking points, target accounts, and logistics.
  • Partner with sales to book pre-show meetings, run customer dinners and on-site events, and follow up on leads.
  • Work with marketing on pre- and post-event campaigns, including email, landing pages, paid promotion, and social.
  • Manage event budgets, track spend, forecast costs, and make trade-off decisions as priorities shift.
  • Define event KPIs and produce post-event reports on leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and performance improvements.
  • Own digital event programs such as webinars and podcasts, including hosting and serving as the company face for those events.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, ideally in B2B or tech.
  • Experience organizing events end to end, even at smaller scale.
  • Experience managing an events budget and making ROI-focused trade-offs.
  • Ability to define KPIs and build reports that connect event activity to pipeline and revenue.
  • Genuine interest in AI and experience using AI to automate or improve event marketing work; this is a must-have.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot on the CRM side.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle timelines, budgets, vendors, and multiple moving pieces.
  • Comfort negotiating with vendors and event organizers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal teams, executives, and prospects.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems quickly during live events.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% to 50% during peak event seasons across North America, with potential European travel.
  • Fully remote work eligibility in the US or Canada.
  • Residence within roughly an hour of a major airport hub with frequent direct flights.
  • Must have the right to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience with event tools such as Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or Goldcast is preferred.
  • Experience with international events or vendors is preferred.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or a similar fast-paced tech environment is preferred.
