Description

  • Lead, coach, and develop L2/3 NOC engineers to maintain high performance and technical capability.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support for engineers handling complex incidents.
  • Oversee workload prioritisation and resource allocation across the L2/3 team.
  • Monitor dashboards, alerts, and incident queues to ensure timely response and action.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex incidents and service-impacting events.
  • Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, and permanent fix identification.
  • Support major incidents and P1s by providing technical direction and coordination.
  • Drive problem management activities and contribute to long-term remediation of recurring issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on WAN, WiFi, routing, switching, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, processes, and operational reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a NOC, technical operations, or service desk environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage incidents, prioritise workloads, and coordinate cross-team activity.
  • Experience working with dashboards, monitoring tools, and ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of network operations, incident lifecycles, and SLA-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles and processes.
  • Strong communication skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to assess urgency under pressure.
  • Ability to influence without direct line management responsibility.
  • Networking certifications such as CompTIA or CCNA equivalent are preferred.
  • Vendor certifications such as Cisco, Ruckus, or Juniper are preferred.
