Description

  • Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content into Swedish following style guides and guidelines
  • Write new copy for multimedia products including music, TV, app store descriptions, video-on-demand, and game subscription services
  • Perform regular linguistic review and copy-editing of own work and work from other localization team members to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Conduct Localization QA (LQA) testing of content published on live platforms (music and app descriptions, marketing materials and campaigns)
  • Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics and ensure correct representation in written form
  • Identify and flag potential cultural issues in content, propose adjustments, and act as a cultural ambassador for the Swedish market
  • Conduct market-specific research on local content treatment, terminology trends, and best localization practices for the target audience
  • Report on data and assets across a broad scope of media and content types
  • Review linguistic assessments, create training materials and documentation for new projects, and ensure team members are trained on terminology, style, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the global language team via virtual meetings and communications to calibrate terminology, align on style, and share market insights

Requirements

  • BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting of media content (music, TV, apps) with writing samples
  • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
  • Native in Swedish and fluent in English
  • Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies across large volumes of content and make sound judgement calls
  • Broad knowledge of music artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture for the target market
  • Proven ability to own a language market and make confident linguistic decisions
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus
  • Capable of typing at native level using a local (English) keyboard and working independently and remotely
  • Legal right to work in one of the required locations (United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, or Greece)
