Description

  • Localize, transcreate, and adapt music and media-related marketing content for the target market.
  • Write, review, and optimize marketing copy across multimedia products, digital campaigns, promotional materials, apps, and audience-facing communications.
  • Review both your own work and other localization team members’ work for linguistic quality.
  • Copy-edit and fact-check content to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform LQA testing on content published on live platforms, including music and app descriptions, marketing materials, and campaigns.
  • Research local content treatment, terminology trends, and best localization practices for the target audience.
  • Report on data and assets across a broad range of media and content types.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the assigned market, advising on marketing language, consumer preferences, media trends, and culturally relevant messaging.
  • Collaborate with the global language team through virtual meetings and email to calibrate terminology and style.
  • Flag potential cultural issues and suggest improvements to make content appropriate for the target market.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in Media Marketing, Music Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Localization, Creative Copywriting, or related fields.
  • Proof of writing samples or marketing content contributions.
  • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
  • Native-level proficiency in the target language (fr-CA).
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Deep familiarity with local media channels, marketing trends, digital platforms, entertainment industries, and consumer culture.
  • Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to type in the native language using a local English keyboard.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with music-industry marketing, local consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and pop culture is preferred.
