Description

Perform copy-editing tasks on assigned projects or accounts.
Perform on-demand translation tasks as needed.
Provide lead support on assigned projects or accounts.
Manage and maintain language materials such as glossaries, style guides, and work instructions.
Handle project-related queries and resolve terminology and language questions.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, internal teams, freelancers, and vendors on linguistic matters.
Test and qualify new freelancers and vendors as required.
Develop and train internal linguists and external partners based on account needs.
Participate in the development of improved working processes.
Meet or exceed productivity, on-time delivery, and quality KPIs.

Requirements

University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistic Studies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A university degree in another field plus 2 years of full-time translation experience, or 5 years of full-time professional translating experience.
Native fluency in Traditional Chinese.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, across a variety of registers.
4+ years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing.
2+ years of review experience.
Thorough understanding of the localization process.
Experience with standard software such as Windows and Office applications.
Experience with CAT tools such as XTM and SDL Studio, and issue tracking/query tools such as JIRA.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of terminology in two or more subject matters.
Ability to work with tight deadlines and within a virtual team.
Ability and willingness to train others and communicate effectively with customers at various levels.
