Description

  • Translate and review content from English into Romanian while preserving the original meaning for the target audience.
  • Copyedit and localize content across informational, legal, marketing, product, and support materials.
  • Work on creative UI and marketing content, including transcreation for materials such as synopses and episodic titles.
  • Take ownership of incoming work for the account and contribute to the success of the localization program.
  • Follow project instructions, including character restrictions and other content-specific guidelines.
  • Use CAT tools such as Phrase and Lucid to complete assigned tasks.
  • Communicate the rationale behind translation and transcreation decisions when needed.
  • Coordinate with a multicultural, international team and support project delivery within US working hours.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the relevant subject matter.
  • Native fluency in Romanian.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in marketing, product, and informational content.
  • Experience with translation and terminology tools.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, including character restrictions.
  • Technical knowledge for UI and customer support content.
  • Creative knowledge for transcreation content such as synopses and episodic titles.
  • Ability to work remotely from the US or Canada, or to work US hours.
  • Freelance availability for an estimated 15 hours per week.
