Description

  • Translate documents from English (US) to French (Canada), with a focus on pharmacovigilance content.
  • Perform translation, copy editing, and machine translation post-editing tasks as required.
  • Translate specialized medical and pharmaceutical materials, including Product Monographs, Clinical Study Documents, and Medical Information Letters.
  • Adhere to tight turnaround times, including projects received during EU close-of-business hours for early morning delivery.
  • Work within client-provided XTM and Phrase (Memsource) CAT tools.
  • Maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability to meet client expectations and delivery deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical and pharmaceutical translation, particularly for pharmaceutical companies or life sciences translation agencies in Quebec or Canada.
  • Specific expertise in translating Product Monographs and Medical Information Letters.
  • Bachelor’s degree in translation or a bachelor’s degree in science, such as pharmacology, biology, or biochemistry, combined with a translation degree from a Quebec or Canadian university.
  • Membership in a professional order, such as OTTIAQ, is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English and native-level proficiency in French (Canada).
  • Availability during US time zone business hours.
  • Strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to meet deadlines under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools, specifically XTM and Phrase (Memsource); training may be provided if needed.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and technical content with confidentiality and precision.
  • Bonus qualifications include experience with high-volume, time-critical translation projects, pharmacovigilance content, and collaborative environments with strict client guidelines.
