Description

  • Take end-to-end ownership of the observability stack to keep it resilient, scalable, and ready for rapid growth.
  • Evolve and maintain cloud-native infrastructure built on Kubernetes.
  • Design self-service abstractions and tooling that let developers manage their own observability lifecycle with minimal operational overhead.
  • Build and maintain observability platform products and tools using Golang, Ruby, or Python.
  • Develop golden paths that enable fast instrumentation and high-fidelity telemetry collection.
  • Establish and maintain standards, guidelines, and best practices through processes such as RFCs.
  • Bridge complex infrastructure concerns with developer experience to improve internal usability and adoption.
  • Solve complex observability challenges involving high-cardinality metrics, log retention, distributed tracing, and cost efficiency.
  • Support a frictionless operational model that empowers engineering teams to own what they build.
  • Collaborate across teams to translate technical complexity into clear, actionable guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Brazil and able to work remotely within the country.
  • Prior experience in AWS, Kubernetes, software engineering, and observability practices with open source solutions is mandatory.
  • Proven technical experience with observability practices and tooling, including metrics, logs, traces, and profiling.
  • Proficiency with a major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and its cloud-native ecosystem.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, or similar open source solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry infrastructure and instrumentation.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and identify effective solutions.
  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear guidance for different stakeholders.
  • Experience building internal tools, CLIs, or Kubernetes operators is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Crossplane is a plus.
  • Service mesh knowledge, such as Istio or Linkerd, is a plus.
  • FinOps experience for telemetry and cloud spend optimization is a plus.
  • CNCF certifications such as CKA, CKS, CKAD, PCA, or OTCA are a plus.
