Description

  • Build predictive models for potential purchasers and refinancers to enable efficient, targeted outreach.
  • Analyze user behavior in web-based home lending tools and flows to identify patterns and optimize the experience.
  • Interpret statistical results for business stakeholders and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify key initiatives for the Home Lending area and advocate for Data Science contributions to those efforts.
  • Formulate project plans with clear rationale, candidate approaches, and milestones.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations through written documents, presentations, and meetings with cross-functional partners.
  • Apply mathematical rigor and software development best practices to complex projects.
  • Support team execution through hands-on help, design feedback, and peer review.
  • Mentor junior Data Scientists when needed, based on experience and interest.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics, or Natural Sciences.
  • 6+ years of prior experience in a Data Science role.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a record of partnering across organizations.
  • Hands-on mathematical and software engineering skills to execute complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Ability and desire to mentor junior Data Scientists.
  • Case-by-case exceptions to the education and experience requirements may be considered.
