Description

  • Conduct in-depth investigations of transactions, KYC records, and open-source information, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • Maintain accurate metrics for FIU investigations and SAR filings.
  • Identify activity indicative of money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud.
  • Analyze account and transaction activity to develop and expand fraud and AML typologies.
  • Support and enhance suspicious activity detection, transaction monitoring, and reporting programs, including related controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance, Fraud Operations, Product Support, Engineering, and other teams.
  • Manage a substantial investigative caseload independently and communicate findings to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 2–4 years of direct or relevant experience in AML, sanctions, follow-the-money analysis, or investigations.
  • Strong practical understanding of money laundering typologies and related red flags.
  • Ability to independently conduct investigations, file SARs, and manage a large caseload with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, including collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Willingness to obtain applicable registrations or licenses as required.
  • CAMS certification preferred.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner certification preferred.
  • Experience with financial services, investment advisory, banking, subpoenas, or USA PATRIOT Act Sections 314(a) and 314(b) preferred.
