Description

  • Supervise daily workflow, assignments, priorities, deadlines, productivity, and quality for Product Compliance team members.
  • Train, coach, and develop team members in regulatory expertise, technical knowledge, and performance.
  • Review compliance work and product documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  • Research, interpret, and apply statutes, regulations, bulletins, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate product filings from preparation and submission through regulatory approval and follow-up.
  • Monitor regulatory correspondence, objections, approvals, inquiries, and outstanding filing requirements.
  • Support compliance activities for new products, product changes, and implementation of revised regulations.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Legal, Compliance, Claims, Marketing, Operations, and other business partners.
  • Provide actionable compliance guidance and escalate significant or complex issues appropriately.
  • Identify improvements to training, processes, resources, controls, and compliance calendars.

Requirements

  • Experience in product compliance, regulatory compliance, product filings, product development, or a related insurance discipline.
  • Working knowledge of insurance regulations, regulatory research, product documentation, and Department of Insurance filing processes.
  • Knowledge of Supplemental and Group insurance products or related insurance products.
  • Prior supervisory, team-lead, coaching, or comparable leadership experience.
  • Ability to coordinate workloads, monitor quality and deadlines, and provide technical guidance.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements to routine compliance matters.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, including recognizing when escalation is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience (preferred).
  • Experience coordinating insurance product filings, responding to regulatory inquiries, or supporting new product development (preferred).

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $76,600–$106,450, commensurate with experience and location.
  • Bonus eligibility.
