Description

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key airport stakeholders, industry associations, and regulatory bodies in the Central and Eastern regions.
  • Represent Waymo as a spokesperson at industry conferences, events, and meetings with external partners.
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue new airport partnership opportunities.
  • Negotiate multi-faceted agreements with airport authorities and other stakeholders to support testing and commercial operations.
  • Partner with policy, product, engineering, finance, marketing, communications, strategy, and legal teams to align on goals and execution.
  • Contribute to Waymo’s go-to-market strategy and commercial deployment planning.
  • Work cross-functionally to build and execute forward-looking partnerships that support strategic business objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of work experience, including 4+ years in business development or strategic partnerships in the technology, transportation, and/or travel sector.
  • Experience working with leadership and/or staff across multiple U.S. airports.
  • Experience structuring and negotiating strategic partnership agreements and commercial operating permits.
  • Experience leading and influencing a cross-functional team, particularly with policy, operations, product, marketing, and finance stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep understanding of the autonomous vehicle, ride hailing, or broader mobility industries is preferred.
  • Public sector business development experience is preferred.
  • Existing working relationships with leadership across multiple U.S. airports and/or public agencies are preferred.
  • Experience with operations is preferred.
  • Ability to travel around 40% of the time, including to airports, conferences, and occasional international events.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $210,000 to $259,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s equity incentive plan.

  • Hybrid remote work arrangement, with remote availability depending on location.
