Description

  • Partner with Engineering to design, test, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models and tools for issue discovery, triage, and quality assurance.
  • Use AI-powered insights and triage signals to identify emerging on-road issue trends, risk scenarios, and edge cases.
  • Develop and refine data-driven strategies for issue discovery and monitoring using machine learning model outputs.
  • Define and document policies, guidelines, and SOPs that integrate AI tools and insights into vendor workflows.
  • Design and implement quality control processes for human and AI-generated outputs, including meta-quality checks and vendor work validation.
  • Provide feedback to improve both human performance and model performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Software Quality Operations and support adoption of AI/ML advancements across stakeholders, program leads, and vendor teams.
  • Create and update technical policies, guidelines, and SOPs for new scopes, platforms, and driving signals.
  • Identify and escalate issues with tools, provide technical requirements to engineering, and drive user testing for new tooling features.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while collaborating with diverse internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in AV Software Quality Operations.
  • Increased competency in supporting all phases of the machine learning development lifecycle, from data preparation and training to validation, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Experience with ML testing and validation, including dataset quality assurance, bias detection, edge-case scenario testing, and performance evaluation using statistical metrics.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new concepts and use proprietary tools.
  • Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated strong execution and ability to drive outcomes (preferred).
  • Experience working with offshore teams or multiple local operations hubs (preferred).
  • Basic SQL querying (preferred).
  • Competency in LLM/transformer models or ML for robotics domain experience (preferred).
  • Self-motivated with basic skills in task planning and time management (preferred).
