Description

  • Drive outcomes for cross-functional programs spanning multiple teams and functions.
  • Own long-term forecasting and resource planning for operational programs.
  • Stand up new workflows and scale existing workflows to support market expansion.
  • Translate complex human operations into scalable, reliable operational processes.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and priorities to stakeholders and lead tradeoff decisions across functions.
  • Define program and workflow KPIs and SLAs to drive high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage quality operations with a global vendor workforce.
  • Lead workflow transformation efforts to meet evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Engineering to design, test, and deploy ML and GenAI models and tools for issue detection, triage efficiency, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience, including 5+ years leading teams, managing complex tech-enabled operations.
  • Experience working across technical partners such as Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Systems Engineering to drive outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical operations programs, including project planning, dependency management, and execution using Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Experience supporting phases of the machine learning development lifecycle, from data preparation and training to validation, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-ambiguity, dynamic environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • MBA or graduate operations experience preferred.
  • Experience in the autonomous vehicle space preferred.
  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience working with offshore teams or multiple local operations hubs preferred.
  • Remote work may be available only in certain locations, depending on recruiting and employment eligibility.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $159,000 to $196,000 USD.
  • Eligible for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
  • Eligible for Waymo’s equity incentive plan.
  • Eligible for Waymo’s generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
  • Remote work may be available for some locations, subject to employer eligibility and recruiter confirmation.
