Description

  • Own end-to-end planning and delivery of network buildouts across Waymo sites, offices, and data centers, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Translate business and engineering requirements into Engineering Design Plans, technical project plans, milestones, and RACI ownership.
  • Coordinate across network engineers, construction teams, low-voltage cablers, and network integrators to execute site deployments.
  • Manage vendors and contracts, including RFPs, SOWs, and SLAs, to support timely delivery.
  • Coordinate site work and track hardware and circuit orders to meet project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with security, redundancy, capacity, and engineering documentation standards.
  • Maintain accurate sources of truth and as-built documentation after go-live.
  • Report project status and KPIs to leadership and run cross-functional operating rhythms.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts and drive continuous improvement for repeatable scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Network Technical Program Manager delivering multi-site buildouts or data center turn-ups.
  • Knowledge of network architecture and design principles.
  • Ability to maintain 100% as-built documentation within 5 business days of go-live.
  • Experience working with network and internet service providers for circuit provisioning.
  • Experience working with low-voltage cablers in a construction environment.
  • Construction Technical Program Management experience preferred.
  • Expertise in data center operations preferred.
  • Experience managing or collaborating with a network operations center preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar strategic program management tools preferred.
  • People management experience, including managing teams, consultants, or TPMs, preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally to sites 2-3 days per week and travel to Central US markets twice per quarter.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $168,000 to $207,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
