Description

  • Identify team roles and responsibilities for the MFA implementation effort.
  • Understand how Microsoft Entra ID is hosted and configured.
  • Determine which channel can be used for MFA push notifications.
  • Apply IBM zMFA maintenance and updates as recommended by IBM.
  • Configure zMFA runtime parameters.
  • Integrate zMFA with Entra ID MFA enforcement points for interactive access paths, including TPX, Personal Communications (PCOMM), and web-based access tools.
  • Install and perform base configuration of zMFA components on in-scope z/OS systems protected by RACF.
  • Define and configure required zMFA started tasks and supporting services.
  • Integrate zMFA with Microsoft Entra ID MFA via RADIUS for interactive access methods.
  • Configure the enrollment process and recovery procedures for re-registration and token issues.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior Mainframe MFA Consultant.
  • Experience working with IBM zMFA and related maintenance and updates.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and how it is hosted and configured.
  • Experience integrating MFA with interactive access paths such as TPX, Personal Communications (PCOMM), and web-based access tools.
  • Experience configuring zMFA runtime parameters and supporting services.
  • Experience with z/OS systems protected by RACF.
  • Experience setting up zMFA started tasks and base system configuration.
  • Knowledge of MFA push channels and RADIUS-based integration with Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience configuring enrollment and recovery procedures for re-registration and token issues.
  • Contract availability for a 6-month engagement.
