Description

  • Build automated signal ingestion pipelines from security tooling and convert raw findings into actionable risk intelligence.
  • Develop probabilistic risk models that quantify security exposure, breach likelihood, and expected losses.
  • Identify systemic choke points across the attack surface and prioritize high-impact remediation opportunities.
  • Build dashboards and data-driven insights that communicate risk across security, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
  • Support risk quantification efforts that translate security exposure into financial terms for investment decisions and board reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Production-level coding experience in Python and SQL, including PostgreSQL, Presto, or SparkSQL.
  • 3+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning or probabilistic models in production.
  • Experience building real-time or near-real-time data pipelines across multiple formats with stream and batch processing at scale.
  • Experience with data modeling for classification, normalization, and risk or anomaly detection signal development.
  • Experience developing metrics that inform security and business decisions.
  • Familiarity with security risk concepts such as threat intelligence enrichment pipelines, EPSS, or CISA KEV (preferred).
  • Familiarity with quantitative risk frameworks such as FAIR (preferred).
  • Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST CSF or SOC 2 (preferred).
  • Ability to translate risk model outputs into executive or board-level narratives (preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where the program is still being shaped (preferred).

  • Highly market-competitive compensation.
  • Base pay range of $153,000 to $187,000 CAD for Canadian candidates.
  • Eligible for a new hire equity grant.
  • Eligible for annual refresh grants.
