Description

  • Ensure smooth production operations and lead large-scale event response with development teams.
  • Define operational and security policies, standards, and processes for development teams to follow.
  • Guide teams in establishing, monitoring, and achieving SLAs through SLIs and SLOs.
  • Work alongside application teams in AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments to maintain monitoring, security, reliability, automation, and support.
  • Drive an operational excellence culture through simplification, automation, analysis, and process evolution.
  • Champion security and operational best practices across global development teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and coordinate production troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop automation and help debug and fix complex production issues.
  • Document solutions, share knowledge through presentations, and provide guidance to other teams.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with a desire to learn additional languages.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure as code, networking, and microservice architectures.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design and SRE/DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, security, source control, builds, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, chaos engineering, and self-healing operations.
  • Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, New Relic, Lambda, Serverless, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark, Flink, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, and Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead production incident response and postmortems.
  • Customer-focused and data-driven mindset.
  • Experience in cloud or production operations environments is preferred.
