Description

  • Coordinate project schedules to meet budget and deadline requirements for subcontractors and installation teams.
  • Work closely with sales, design personnel, estimators, and designers on project specifications, manpower needs, and change orders.
  • Review construction contract documents and coordinate with subcontractors and general contractors to gather project information.
  • Track key project milestones and communicate deadlines such as design start, listing, and POJ dates to the VSC team.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on ASIs, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor project budgets and documentation to help increase profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal fire, NFPA, building, and safety regulations.
  • Enforce safety policies and maintain proper risk management procedures on all job sites.
  • Gather information needed for sprinkler system drawings, hydraulic calculations, seismic brace calculations, and material/equipment schedules.
  • Submit stock lists to fabrication, approve fabrication quotes, and order additional material needed for installation.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience in sprinkler or integrated systems.
  • Knowledge of company, local, state, and federal regulations, including fire, NFPA, building, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to schedule projects in logical steps to meet budget and time deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass various background checks.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record for use of a company vehicle.
  • Desirable, but not required: experience using AutoCAD or SprinkCAD.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors and general contractors.
  • Familiarity with project communication and documentation processes such as ASIs, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
