Description

  • Provide technical and operational leadership for complex scientific and public health programs.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, scope, budgets, and pricing across multiple initiatives.
  • Oversee quality, methodological rigor, compliance, and formal review processes for deliverables.
  • Lead data collection, analysis, synthesis, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Develop communications, presentations, and proposal materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with federal clients, Task Force members, researchers, and partners.
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Improve workflows, processes, and operational efficiency across projects and programs.
  • Support vendor management, business development, and proposal efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health policy, health sciences, epidemiology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience, with additional education allowed to substitute for experience.
  • 4+ years of project management experience supporting complex scientific or public health initiatives.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or people-management experience.
  • Experience leading complex scientific or public health projects in regulated or federally funded environments.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based public health or clinical research processes.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently and make authoritative recommendations.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Master’s or advanced degree in a related public health or science field (preferred).
  • Experience with USPSTF, AHRQ, NIH, or similar federal public health or research organizations (preferred).
  • Familiarity with systematic review methods, evidence synthesis, or guideline development (preferred).
  • Experience with literature reviews, horizon scanning, proposal development, pricing, committee management, or continuous improvement initiatives (preferred).
  • Ability to attend occasional in-person meetings and events in the Washington, DC metro area (preferred).
  • Public Trust clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship required by government contract.

  • Competitive pay with a salary range of $118,168.87 to $135,894.21 per year.
