Description

  • Own the core checkout logic from add-to-cart through final order confirmation across all domains except payments.
  • Design and maintain the state machines that power real-time seat reservations while preserving data integrity under extreme load.
  • Build high-performance, fault-tolerant systems that stay resilient during major global events and request spikes.
  • Design and implement logic to prevent race conditions in complex booking and ordering flows.
  • Identify and fix performance bottlenecks to keep latency minimal across distributed systems.
  • Lead end-to-end architecture for API-first checkout flows, including global latency and observability improvements.
  • Implement best practices for distributed locking, transaction integrity, and high-scale reliability.
  • Collaborate on mission-critical system design decisions and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to engineers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong backend and distributed systems background.
  • Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and robust system design, independent of specific programming language syntax.
  • Extensive experience with high-scale B2B2C, e-commerce, or booking platforms handling complex order logic and data integrity.
  • Strong ability to design fault-tolerant architectures for highly concurrent booking scenarios.
  • Proven track record of finding and resolving performance bottlenecks in distributed environments.
  • Strong ownership mindset focused on designing mission-critical solutions rather than only writing code.
  • Ability to explain architectural trade-offs and technical decisions clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with concurrency challenges, distributed locking, and transaction integrity is highly relevant.

Benefits

  • Mission-critical role building technology for global live entertainment brands.
  • Profitable, VC-backed company with sustainable growth and continued investment in people and products.
  • Opportunity to work with a top-tier team of 160+ professionals, including leaders from Google, Slack, and Salesforce.
  • Diverse, merit-driven global team across six offices.
  • Fast-growing scale-up environment with daily learning and shared growth.
  • Work alongside recognized industry and tech leaders shaping the future of ticketing.
  • Commitment to an inclusive workplace where different perspectives and voices are valued.
