Description

  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy in alignment with product, AI, and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the convergence of transactional, operational, and analytical data into a unified operational backbone.
  • Own a multi-year roadmap covering data architecture, semantics, governance, accessibility, and maturity.
  • Establish canonical data models, enterprise ontologies, shared metric catalogs, and schema contracts.
  • Operationalize governance through classification, RBAC, SLAs, certified data objects, cataloging, lineage, and quality monitoring.
  • Build and maintain the Enterprise Data Catalogue, Data Asset Registry, and executive data health dashboard.
  • Prepare data infrastructure for ML pipelines, LLM serving, agentic systems, predictive models, and real-time data products.
  • Develop governed internal and external data products while supporting commercialization of Versapay network data.
  • Lead and grow the Data Platform Team and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Analytics.
  • Represent the data function at the executive level and contribute to the AI and product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data leadership, including 5+ years at the Director level owning enterprise data strategy, architecture, or governance.
  • Experience modernizing and unifying complex, multi-source data environments at scale, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or payments.
  • Deep expertise in modern data stacks, including cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, ETL frameworks, and semantic or canonical modeling.
  • Experience applying AI and ML infrastructure, including data governance, observability, and semantic standards for safe AI deployment.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams across BI, analytics, data engineering, and data platform CI/CD.
  • Experience governing data for commercial use, including external data products, consent frameworks, lineage, and privacy compliance.
  • Experience managing data warehouse costs and forecasting.
  • Exceptional executive communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with agentic AI architecture, MCP, or LLM serving layers preferred.
  • Experience with AR/AP automation, payments, working capital platforms, data commercialization, AWS-native infrastructure, or PE-backed high-growth SaaS preferred.
