Description

  • Build the infrastructure to reproduce and adapt state-of-the-art research into production-ready models on 4–6 week cycles.
  • Develop attack-agnostic biometric defenses using optical flow, specular reflection, and 3D geometry.
  • Implement domain adaptation and generalization techniques to reduce performance variance across devices, demographics, and environmental conditions.
  • Write high-performance, maintainable Python code for scalable, latency-optimized computer vision systems.
  • Decide when to pursue a new model architecture versus improving data curation or procedural attack generation.
  • Bridge theoretical computer vision research with production code that supports identity verification at scale.
  • Investigate failure modes, bias, and model assumptions using an empirical, skeptical approach.
  • Build data pipelines and debug containerized services as needed to support experimentation and deployment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Applied Research or Data Science with a track record of moving computer vision models from paper to production.
  • Expert-level experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow, including custom layers, loss functions, and domain-adversarial training loops.
  • Strong background in classical image processing with OpenCV and 3D geometry.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, and SQL.
  • Experience building data pipelines and debugging containerized services.
  • Ability to balance inference latency and compute cost as primary production constraints.
  • A skeptical, evidence-driven approach to evaluating SOTA claims and model failure modes.
  • Experience with computer vision frameworks and production ML systems (preferred).
