Description

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Android SDK, with a focus on performance, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers.
  • Support compatibility across a variety of Android devices, from low-end to high-end.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
  • Debug issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay current with Android development best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to improvements in development workflows, including testing and release processes.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Android Developer with hands-on work in Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Familiarity with Android frameworks and building mobile applications or SDK features.
  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.
  • Experience with testing, such as unit or integration testing, and debugging.
  • Understanding of mobile app architecture and best practices such as MVVM or clean architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exposure to Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Experience with performance optimisation or working across different Android devices is preferred.
  • Exposure to cross-platform tools such as React Native or Flutter is preferred.
  • Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design principles is preferred.
