Description

  • Act as the primary point of contact for testing and QA during releases, coordinating testing services with internal resources.
  • Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration test strategies, test cases, plans, and reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal technical teams and third-party software vendors when needed.
  • Manage and prioritize testing-related projects to deliver on time, within scope, and with a focus on quality and sustainability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and introduce automation where appropriate.
  • Ensure software systems adhere to regulatory and data integrity standards in a regulated environment.
  • Mentor and coach junior testing team members.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise in verification and validation, test automation, risk-based testing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and quality teams to support efficient delivery processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in LIMS and/or Salesforce testing with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of laboratory science workflows, especially in genomics, molecular biology, or clinical research environments.
  • Proven experience translating technical requirements into testing strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of GAMP5 risk-based computerized systems validation methodology.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements including GxP, CLIA, and data integrity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (preferred).
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as Jira and requirements tools such as Jama (preferred).

Benefits

  • Salary range of $157,200-$173,600 for San Diego, $179,000-$200,000 for South San Francisco, or $150,200-$174,400 for remote US candidates.
  • May be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
