Description

  • Service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain aircraft avionics and ground support equipment for test operations and sustainment.
  • Modify, install, and test electronics and mechanical equipment for customer and company modification efforts.
  • Correct avionics, electrical, payload, and subsystem discrepancies through removal, repair, or replacement.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and functional checks on aircraft avionics, electrical systems, and subsystems.
  • Fabricate, upgrade, and modify aircraft harnesses, coax cables, and fiber optic cables, and install and checkout systems with limited engineering guidance.
  • Load and maintain software configurations on aircraft and ground segment systems.
  • Maintain DTED, weather data, aeronautical charts, and other mission planning support information for ground control systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft systems including landing gear, fuel systems, flight control, and propulsion.
  • Conduct aircraft ground operations including launch, recovery, and ground engine run-up.
  • Perform preflight maintenance, complete equipment documentation, communicate avionics assessments, and follow FOD and tool control practices.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency with standard computer use, including browser and word processing applications.
  • Extensive experience and training in installing, troubleshooting, and checking out flight test instrumentation systems, including strain gauges, accelerometers, string pots, and associated wiring.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make decisions without constant supervision.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and draft procedures accurately.
  • Willingness to be multi-capable, including some mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Active TS clearance with investigation within 5 years or continuous evaluation.
  • 8+ years of aircraft avionics experience.
  • 5+ years of developmental flight test experience.
  • Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • 5+ years of Test and Evaluation experience (preferred).
  • Valid FCC license (preferred).
  • ICP-A 620 certification (preferred).
