Description

  • Architect and build the new Kiosk app using Kotlin Multiplatform, including shared logic for ticket booking, inventory, and platform integrations.
  • Design the SDK surface that enables white-label customization for third-party clients.
  • Build touch-optimized Kiosk user interfaces in Jetpack Compose for always-on devices.
  • Implement caching and request strategies to keep the Kiosk responsive in real venue network conditions.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests, and collaborate with QA on automation and hardware-mocking strategy.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs in the Kiosk runtime and drive them to resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Hardware/Platform team to integrate peripheral abstractions into the Kiosk.
  • Contribute to a fresh greenfield product that will later be consumable as an SDK by third parties.

Requirements

  • Deep, production-level Android and Kotlin experience with ownership of apps past launch.
  • Strong understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform, including code-sharing strategies and expect/actual patterns.
  • Experience designing modular, maintainable architectures such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
  • Comfort building non-trivial user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience with GraphQL clients in mobile apps, preferably Apollo.
  • B2-level English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience designing public APIs or SDKs for third-party consumption, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Android Kiosk Mode (Lock Task Mode) and Android Enterprise APIs, preferred.
  • Exposure to apps that integrate with external peripherals such as printers, scanners, or payment terminals, preferred.
  • Experience with always-on, single-purpose devices and their operational constraints, preferred.
