Description

  • Design, build, and own Android applications, including scanning apps and Connected Stores experiences.
  • Set Android architecture, development best practices, and code-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Caper, Inventory Intelligence, and Fulfillment teams on in-store data collection solutions.
  • Balance long-term platform architecture with rapid delivery and iteration in an evolving environment.
  • Define the Android engineering direction for the growing Digital Twin Platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Expertise in the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
  • Experience designing and building Android applications from the ground up and owning architecture decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with enterprise, kiosk, scanning, barcode, hardware-integrated, or other non-consumer Android applications preferred.
  • Familiarity with Connected Stores, retail hardware, embedded Android, or smart-cart ecosystems preferred.
  • Experience with Bluetooth, NFC, camera APIs, or other Android hardware integrations preferred.
  • Background in data-intensive applications, real-time pipelines, inventory, or logistics systems preferred.
  • Willingness to contribute to backend or data engineering domains preferred.

  • US base salary of $192,000–$242,500, depending on location.
  • Eligibility for a new-hire equity grant and annual equity refresh grants.
