Description

  • Manage target accounts and lead them into manufacturing production using Velo3D’s end-to-end manufacturing solution.
  • Own critical programs and applications through education, project management, and production adoption from early design through full-scale production.
  • Work directly with manufacturing and engineering teams at target accounts as their dedicated technical resource.
  • Design, modify, and analyze complex geometries in CAD and use print preparation software to estimate print times and costing quotes.
  • Solve complex technical and operational problems involving internal teams, customers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Document statements of work and customer acceptance criteria for internal and external communication.
  • Educate customers on Velo3D design allowables and the physical and economic tradeoffs of printing versus incumbent manufacturing processes.
  • Advise customers on design optimization and communicate part design challenges visually and verbally.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering and other cross-functional teams on parts and applications outside current design allowables.
  • Maintain strong organization across documentation, software analysis, and project management tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • Industry experience in design engineering and manufacturing processes such as additive manufacturing, casting, machining, or forging.
  • Experience completing projects from early development through production.
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage complex projects to completion.
  • Efficient and effective sales and account management skills.
  • Customer-facing and project/program management experience.
  • CAD software design experience with Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
  • Experience with generative design tools such as Altair Inspire or nTopology Element is desired.
  • US citizen or green card holder, required for ITAR compliance.
  • Strong ownership, responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team.

  • Starting base salary of $120,000 to $150,000.
