Description

  • Monitor, triage, investigate, document, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
  • Coordinate incident containment, eradication, recovery, escalation, and after-hours response activities.
  • Engineer, implement, and maintain security technologies, including SIEM content, detection rules, data onboarding, and automation.
  • Own security engineering projects from scoping and design through implementation and operational handoff.
  • Advise IT and business teams on cybersecurity risks, security technologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct investigations and support digital forensics, governance, policy maintenance, control reviews, and audit evidence collection.
  • Identify emerging vulnerabilities, risks, and operational concerns and recommend improvements to security controls.
  • Develop security automation, including AI-assisted capabilities, and provide security training and guidance to staff.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in information security operations or security engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts and principles.
  • Experience securing and administering Microsoft 365 security products, including Defender for Endpoint, Purview, Entra ID, and Intune.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems, TCP/IP networking, storage, virtualization, and containerization.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning, event log management, endpoint security, firewalls, web application firewalls, and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, verbal, and customer-service skills.
  • Familiarity with digital forensics and physical security; offensive security, Mac endpoint security, Splunk Enterprise Security, and Proofpoint are preferred.
  • Possess or obtain an entry- to mid-level security certification, such as Security+, CySA+, or GSEC, within six months of employment; background check required.
