Description

  • Monitor security events and perform technical alert analysis.
  • Lead security incidents and employee investigations from response strategy through closure, providing stakeholder updates.
  • Communicate security guidance and investigative findings to technical teams, executives, legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the development of services, integrations, capabilities, and technology implementations supporting security operations and insider threat.
  • Create and maintain incident-response runbooks, automated workflows, and refined security processes.
  • Build scripts and tools to support investigations and security operations.
  • Mentor and train security operations engineers on data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders on security initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of security incident response experience.
  • Practical experience leading incident response, including alert monitoring, triage, and cross-team coordination.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building scripts or tools for investigations.
  • Experience with analysis and digital forensics on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  • Experience using SIEM tools for log reviews.
  • Experience with cloud architecture, security, and cloud-based services, including AWS or GCP.
  • Ability to communicate investigative findings and response strategies to technical staff, executive leadership, and legal teams.
  • Experience mentoring or training security operations engineers.
  • Residence in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zone of the United States or Canada.
  • Preferred: 3+ years in insider threat or employee investigations, a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience, GCIH certification, and familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
