Description

  • Perform troubleshooting and analysis of customer issues, including log file investigation.
  • Act as a technical focal point for relationships with fellow IT professionals.
  • Own customer support cases from initial intake through resolution.
  • Troubleshoot issues in Veeam products and third-party components from Microsoft and VMware.
  • Determine whether issues are known defects, misconfigurations, or other causes.
  • Correct break/fix issues and educate customers on how the process and interactions work.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately in the CRM tool and within SLA commitments.

Requirements

  • Fluent English skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • System administration skills.
  • Strong TCP/IP knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, including booting, initialization systems, package management, kernel modules, process management, OS monitoring, storage management, filesystems, networking, and related tools.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services on Linux-based operating systems.
  • Familiarity with security concepts such as firewalls, SELinux, and AppArmor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and explain technical information.
  • Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Nutanix AHV hypervisor and related technologies, including Prism, REST API explorer, aCLI, nCLI, ADFS concepts, KVM technology, and NCC, is a bonus.
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V is a bonus.
  • Experience with UNIX systems such as BSD, AIX, Solaris, or HP-UX is a bonus.
