Description

  • Drive revenue by serving as the technical expert on the Veeam Data Cloud platform and winning the technical decision on large opportunities.
  • Deliver technical presentations and tailored product demonstrations for customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with field sellers and the VDC Sales Specialist to identify customer needs and shape solution recommendations.
  • Design solutions aligned with customer objectives and industry best practices.
  • Develop and run proof-of-concept tests to validate Veeam solutions in customer environments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation such as solution briefs, whitepapers, and best-practice guides.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by surfacing feature gaps, enhancement requests, and technical issues to product teams.
  • Train customers, partners, and internal sales teams on Veeam Data Cloud and data protection best practices.
  • Support co-sell efforts and technical collaboration with Microsoft.
  • Travel at least 30% as required for the role.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software sales, technical pre-sales, or solution engineering.
  • Direct experience selling or supporting core Microsoft workloads or data protection solutions is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 and data protection requirements across Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and EntraID.
  • Experience with DSPM solutions such as Microsoft Purview and understanding of how organizations identify, monitor, and protect sensitive data.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security requirements, Azure services, and Microsoft 365 APIs.
  • Technical depth in backup and recovery processes and requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and build rapport quickly with customers, partners, and sales teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Platform and Dynamics in a data protection or sales engineering context is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of competitive plays in the data protection space is a plus.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Renewals, and Field Marketing teams is preferred.
  • Existing relationships or co-sell experience within the Microsoft ecosystem is a plus.
