Description

  • Configure customer accounts, customize backup policies and storage, and lead customer onboarding.
  • Orient stakeholders to the platform, admin portals, and support channels.
  • Identify migration opportunities and align product adoption with customer business outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments, build protection plans, and recommend architectures across the Veeam Data Platform.
  • Run recovery simulations and deliver quarterly resilience reporting using the Veeam Data Resilience Maturity Model (DRMM).
  • Monitor customer signals to identify churn risk early and define mitigation plans.
  • Build business cases, define total cost of ownership, and support expansion and renewal strategy.
  • Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders with clear risk, status, and opportunity updates.
  • Collaborate on marketing-informed campaigns and plays to drive adoption and expansion.
  • Own the technical success plan and adoption roadmap in partnership with Sales and Customer Success leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles focused on data backup and recovery, such as Technical Consulting, Pre-Sales SE, or Technical Account Manager.
  • This is a mid-level role.
  • Advanced English proficiency plus fluent French or German.
  • Hands-on expertise across operating systems, virtualization, storage, scripting/automation, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery and resilience best practices.
  • Strong experience designing and executing protection plans, migrations, and recovery simulations.
  • Familiarity with Veeam platform capabilities is a plus.
  • VMCE certification is required, and may be completed post-hire within an agreed timeframe.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, and Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Proven ability to translate business outcomes into technical adoption roadmaps and measurable value.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement skills with CISO/CIO audiences and strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Remote work is only possible for employees located in Czechia.
