Description

  • Work with clients on short- to medium-term engagements to address big data challenges on the Databricks platform.
  • Design and build reference architectures, how-to guides, and production-ready customer use cases.
  • Scope professional services engagements with engagement managers and customer input.
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations.
  • Lead end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
  • Consult on architecture and design to support customer evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
  • Bootstrap or implement customer projects and provide escalated support for operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement outcomes.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues quickly.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
  • Ability to write code in Python or Scala.
  • Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures.
  • Experience delivering technical projects while managing scope and timelines.
  • Documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Ability to build technical skills that support deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions.
  • Ability to travel to customers 10% of the time.
  • Databricks certification is preferred but not required.
