Description

  • Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment for healthcare-specific revenue streams such as risk adjustment, value-based care arrangements, and provider services.
  • Partner with the SVP of Finance on financial strategy, reporting, and operational initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with FP&A.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors to drive efficient audit outcomes.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key financial metrics.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Support due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions or partnerships.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA required or strongly preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
  • Experience in healthcare services, value-based care, or healthcare technology strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Demonstrated experience managing audits and maintaining internal controls.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth healthcare organization preferred.
  • Familiarity with risk adjustment, CMS programs, and provider contracting models preferred.
  • Experience scaling accounting operations and implementing process improvements preferred.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands-on environment preferred.
