Description

  • Define and own the technical architecture for Shopify-based eCommerce solutions.
  • Lead technical discovery, estimation, and solution design.
  • Make architectural decisions on platform approach, integrations, and performance.
  • Guide teams on best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
  • Create structured onboarding paths for frontend and backend/integration engineers.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Contribute hands-on in complex and high-impact areas of the solution.
  • Continuously improve architecture, performance, and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience, with strong expertise in Shopify-based eCommerce solutions.
  • Deep understanding of Shopify architecture, including Shopify Plus capabilities and limitations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, Node.js, and CSS.
  • Strong proficiency in React.
  • Experience with Redux.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and SEO principles.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale Shopify architectures.
  • Strong experience with complex integrations using GraphQL and REST APIs, including ERP, CRM, OMS, and PIM systems.
  • Experience defining and enforcing engineering standards and best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions.
  • Experience leading technical discovery, estimation, and solution design.
  • Ability to identify technical risks, trade-offs, and long-term implications.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments at scale.
  • Advanced French and English proficiency at C1 level.
