Description

  • Convert engineering notes, specifications, and rough sketches into formal working drawings.
  • Prepare submittal documentation such as data sheets.
  • Maintain project drawing files, records, documentation tracking, and as-built drawings.
  • Provide AutoCAD and BIM drafting and design support to BAS design engineers during project development.
  • Prepare electronic systems drawings including floor plans, riser diagrams, panel control wiring diagrams, electrical interconnection drawings, and termination drawings.
  • Apply and maintain AutoCAD standards, templates, and processes.
  • Recommend improvements to AutoCAD standards, templates, and processes.
  • Document new AutoCAD templates for possible adoption as engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with standard office software including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in full AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT Release 2015.
  • Strong knowledge of drafting and engineering practices and methods.
  • Knowledge of drawing sheet sizes, AutoCAD pen table files (.ctb), wide-format plotting, and Adobe PDF output.
  • Understanding of Model Space, Paper Space, and scale factors in AutoCAD.
  • Experience configuring and updating AutoCAD External Reference Files (Xrefs).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deliverables.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Dynamic Block creation, preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory related to HVAC controls and direct digital controllers (DDCs), preferred.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment functions and HVAC systems controls applications, preferred.
  • Experience in BIM coordination and modeling, preferred.
  • Experience with Navisworks and BIM 360 Glue, preferred.
