Description

  • Build and maintain user-facing features in React Native mobile apps across iOS and Android as the team expands.
  • Design and implement performant, maintainable, and scalable mobile components and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to scope, implement, and launch features.
  • Partner with backend engineers to define mobile-specific APIs and improve client-server integration.
  • Contribute to platform improvements including tooling, testing strategies, CI/CD, and performance monitoring.
  • Identify and resolve performance and reliability issues in the mobile experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
  • Support engineering culture through mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus 4 years of experience.
  • Experience building in React Native.
  • Familiarity with at least one native platform such as Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android.
  • Understanding of mobile performance, memory management, and platform-specific constraints.
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional partners in product, design, and backend engineering.
  • Ability to own complex features from planning through release.
  • Ability to balance speed and quality while advocating for maintainable, scalable solutions.
  • Growth mindset and enjoyment of learning from and mentoring teammates.
  • Preferred: Experience launching or scaling a React Native app on Android.
  • Preferred: Comfort working with TypeScript or custom native modules.
  • Preferred: Experience with mobile analytics, push notifications, deep linking, or A/B testing frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience in a fast-paced product company where mobile is a primary user touchpoint.
  • Preferred: Experience improving mobile developer velocity or code quality through internal tools, processes, or systems.
  • Remote role with team operating on East/West Coast time zones.

  • Base salary range of $142,000 to $196,600 USD for U.S. remote candidates.
