Description

  • Deliver major features and architectural improvements across automated moderation pipelines, Reviewer tools, and DevHub.
  • Develop React/TypeScript frontends, Django backends, and MySQL-based services.
  • Build observability systems and data-backed operational insights.
  • Improve platform reliability through Google Cloud deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Resolve bugs and incidents affecting add-on developers and users.
  • Implement submission flows, trust and safety signals, and ecosystem moderation tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, QA, reviewers, developer relations, and community contributors.
  • Provide code reviews, peer feedback, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
  • Contribute openly through pull requests, reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Help maintain platform security, policy compliance, and user trust.

Requirements

  • Experience building modern web applications.
  • Strong experience with Python/Django or similar backend frameworks.
  • Understanding of web security principles and practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in distributed teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, explore solutions, and shape direction in new problem spaces.
  • Commitment to Mozilla values, including welcoming differences, relationship-minded collaboration, responsible participation, and grit.
  • Experience building automated security systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Cloud or similar cloud infrastructure (preferred).
  • Open-source contributions (preferred).
  • Experience with policy-compliant ecosystem moderation tools (preferred).
