Description

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Unity Engine core technology.
  • Use customer feedback, market research, user feedback, and competitive analysis to inform product direction.
  • Partner closely with Engineering to drive feature delivery, remove blockers, and align priorities.
  • Work with stakeholders across Engineering, Quality, Design, Documentation, and Program Management to define business goals, user needs, and technical requirements.
  • Prioritize product features and improvements using data and feedback from external partners and the development community.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to improve cross-product integration and reduce redundant feature code.
  • Facilitate customer feedback loops to iteratively refine the product and increase customer value.
  • Perform hands-on testing and demos to validate solutions, verify deliveries, and present features to customers, users, and partners.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Unity, C#, Entities, Burst, and data-oriented design, or similar systems in another engine.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture and memory/cache behavior.
  • Prior experience in video game development using Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game engines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to engineers and senior executives.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong skills in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience in systems programming with C++ is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SIMD programming is preferred.
  • Storytelling and visual presentation skills to simplify sophisticated topics are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% at peak times is preferred.
  • Professional English communication skills are required for frequent global collaboration.
